1988 Reliant Scimitar

1988 Reliant Scimitar 1400, hand built by the reliant motor company in the uk. When the MG midget and Austin Healy sprite went out of production reliant saw a gap in the market for a replacement hot sports car. 

They made 1600 of them from 1985-1990. this very crisp fresh example is number 1313. Light fiberglass body and galvanized chassis making this a very fun sports car to drive. Equipped with Fords 1400 Orion engine and 4 speed transmission, this little car is very fun to drive and handles great!

This vehicle is a NZ NEW example and in fact the only known example on New Zealand roads! only 38538M! Probably the best example in NZ and very collectable having previously been owned since 2006 by two classic vehicle collectors/enthusiasts.
